Add eCommerce to Your Web Site in Only 9 Minutes – Upload a File for 64,000 Links to Your Site.

by Ed. on Mar.11, 2010, under online store shopping cart

Adding an eCommerce Shopping Cart/Checkout page to your web site is copy/paste easy and can be done in less than 9 minutes – then in just a few minutes more, you can upload a product spreadsheet that will produce 64,000 links back to your web site from over 3,000 purchase-enabled landing pages. That's the way to dominate the search engines quickly. And to make it very easy for more people to find and purchase your products.

Plus, this ‘legal' method of SEO also works when people are doing google searches looking at images! (have you tried shopping lately, looking for images of the product you want to buy? It works great with google's new functions). Lots of shoppers are doing it now and our SEO supports it.

It's an idea that many have asked, but only few have answered. If you are looking to save money and the number of vendor accounts you have to login to and administer, dump your SEO company and let 800Cart be your shopping cart, checkout page and your ecommerce-enabled landing pages, too.

by Ed. on Mar.08, 2010, under online store shopping cart

Many web merchants don’t yet realize it, but there is a huge audience out there that will find their current web presentation entirely satisfactory and will buy now – so why invest more than you need to in order to have a ‘prefect’ web site? It’s a vary hard idea for many web site owners to resist! But it can save you thousands in webmaster bills and earn you thousands in new sales if you take this idea in and use it.

If you use the proven and advanced SEO functions built-in to 800Cart you will quickly dominate the search engines using proven techniques that the search engines themselves recommend. The idea is a simple one: dominate using the same techniques the search engines themselves recommend and avoid ‘easy tricks’ that actually hurt you with the search engines.

Best of all, you can have your first product up for sale in 800Cart in only 9 minutes (from right now!) and add products very, very quickly after that.

New Gmail Labs Feature Helps Verify Emails from PayPal

by Ed. on Aug.08, 2009, under online store shopping cart

Almost missed this one and it’s important that we pass it along to you.

And it’s another important reason to have a gmail account if your email server keeps returning emails to your ecommerce server/shopping cart for various reasons (like over limit/full, etc).

From the PayPal Blog: New Gmail Labs Feature Helps Verify Emails from PayPal.

800Cart already has a slightly different version of message validation that bypasses email entirely. It’s in your 800Cart Control Panel main menu: look for ‘Quick Question’ which both bypasses email for delivery, and also certifies that you are the genuine owner of the account for passing critical (and sensitive) instructions to us.

Freak Factor = Success Factor?

by Ed. on Aug.07, 2009, under online store shopping cart

Just discovered this gentleman and his ideas are worth mentioning.

I first misread his motto ‘discovering uniqueness by flaunting weakness‘ and it went into my head as ‘discovering success by flaunting weakness’.

Both concepts are worth some serious reflection.

Strategy vs. Tactics for Us ADD-Types

by Ed. on Aug.07, 2009, under online store shopping cart

For some of us who have a bit of the ADD thing going on, but refuse to let it be an obstacle to success, Godin discusses a couple of principles we should keep uppermost in our minds.

We too often engage in tactics without considering the strategy. Godin hits the nail squarely on the head. Others agree.

Especially his remark about when the tactic fails, we discard the strategy. See our post here about social networking activity.

Apple About to Compete with Paypal?

by Ed. on Aug.06, 2009, under online store shopping cart

Apple already has good payment system traction with itunes, with a huge user base.

Are they about to leverage that traction into direct competition with Paypal? Apple vs. PayPal?.

If course, we already published some great advice about making pay downloads more profitable while reaching a much bigger market. Looks like soon we will have to add to our advice on using Paypal with some for Apple on primary payments systems?

Socially Retarded – I Know How We Feel About Social Networking!

by Ed. on Aug.06, 2009, under online store shopping cart

It’s easy to feel confused over Social Networking and all the options available. If we were to try to pay strict attention just to twitter and Facebook and a couple of others, then we would have time for little else.

It’s tempting to regard ourselves (and the seemingly wasted activity) like the Wee Guy does as (via) Socially retarded in the UK. So it’s tempting to accept his sweet thoughts of limiting the social networking stuff to golf with the lads.

It turns out though, that merely being present in social networking can help your business. A lot.

But it doesn’t mean you have to waste time with it. Appearing everywhere are little tools and Widgets that allow you to interconnect all these resources so when you peep up on one, it automatically appears everywhere. I haven’t been to a twitter page in a month. But every day, I get several emails that more people are following me on Twitter because other resources are twittering for me automatically. And this is true for many other resources other than Twitter. And some of this folks are going to click and come visit our humble abode here at 800Lab/800Cart.

It’s activity in the right general directions that nets you followers in all these places – but don’t make an effort about it – be smart about it and let the gadgets do the work for you.

Shopping Cart Primary Issue with SEO in Mind

by Ed. on Aug.06, 2009, under 800Cart, eCommerce, online store shopping cart

The author hits on may excellent topics and every point she raises is important!

Building an Ecommerce Site with SEO in Mind

One thing she does not mention is how an off-site shopping cart like 800Cart can legitimately generate 10’s of thousands of honest backlinks to the primary site.

And while her article was not intended to address security, an PCI off-site cart will address security issues that you cannot reasonably address (at least for reasonable cost) with a hosted or dedicated server ecommerce site.

We Put It a Little Differently Than “I’ve said it before – now is the time – build an online store today.”

But the bg barrier for every merchant to get going is adding that first product. After that, it’s just coasting downhill…

Paypal Now Issues ‘Paypal’ Branded Debit/ATM Cards

by Ed. on Aug.06, 2009, under online store shopping cart

It’s not exactly ‘brand new’ news, but many of our customers do not know it yet: If you have a Paypal account in good standing, you can apply to receive a Paypal-branded debit/ATM card that draws against your Paypal balance. It’s a wonderful convenience to use your Paypal card to pay small regular bills that are usually paid electronically such as web hosting bills, etc.

When you consider that they allow you now to compute (and pay) postage or UPS shipping and arrange UPS pickup right in your Paypal control panel, then this solution becomes well worth another look for some merchants.

800Cart just made significant improvements to the 800Cart Paypal functions which adds tremendously to your power as a Paypal merchant, gaining you lower processing fees and more leverage in charge disputes when they occur.

Paypal Improvements in 800Cart

by Ed. on Aug.05, 2009, under 800Cart, eCommerce, online store shopping cart

800Cart will soon release changes and improvements to the Paypal function of your cart.

Once the changes are released shoppers will find it easier and less confusing to check out and pay.

Paypal, not 800Cart, will send you the email on such orders, and your order will appear in your Paypal Control Panel, not 800Cart’s.

This arrangement allows you to take advantage of available savings at Paypal and helps qualify you (if you otherwise qualify) for Paypal’s Merchant Protection Program — and can actually reduce the number of chargebacks you have to process.

Example: Imagine that a customer purchases a product from you, and pays with Paypal. Two months later, they see the charge on their statement and can’t remember what it was for, so they call Paypal and dispute the charge. But since you have the entire order record at Paypal, the Paypal rep can tell your customer exactly what they purchased and where it was shipped.

In addition, if you ‘purchase your postage’ for these orders in your Paypal Control Panel, the Paypal rep can tell the customer how it was shipperd, the tracking number, the date of delivery and who signed.

Because it’s all part of the Paypal records that we conveyed for 800Cart to Paypal for you!

Needless to say, after such a conversation, it’s very unlikey that your customer will continue to insist on disputing the charge.
